Getting Started with Minecraft
Welcome to AngelicCraft! This guide will walk you through downloading Minecraft and connecting to our server so you can jump straight into the action.
Step 1: Purchase & Download Minecraft
- Head over to minecraft.net and click Get Minecraft.
- If you don't already have a Microsoft account, you'll need to create one — this is required to play.
- Purchase Minecraft: Java Edition (this is the version our server runs on).
- Download the Minecraft Launcher for your platform (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
- Install and open the launcher, then sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Click Play to launch the game. It will download the latest version automatically.
Step 2: Connecting to AngelicCraft
Once Minecraft has loaded, follow these steps to join our server:
- From the main menu, click Multiplayer.
- Click Add Server at the bottom of the screen.
- In the Server Name field, type AngelicCraft (or anything you like — this is just a label for your server list).
- In the Server Address field, type: angeliccraft.net
- Click Done.
- You'll now see AngelicCraft in your server list. Select it and click Join Server.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
If you're having trouble connecting, try the following:
- Check your Minecraft version — Make sure you're running the correct version. You can change your version in the Minecraft Launcher by selecting the right profile before hitting Play.
- Check your internet connection — Ensure you have a stable connection and that no firewall or antivirus is blocking Minecraft.
- Restart Minecraft — Sometimes simply closing and reopening the game fixes connection issues.
- Double-check the IP — Make sure you've typed angeliccraft.net exactly, with no extra spaces or typos.
